What does "One Call Does It All" mean?

"One Call Does It All" means that individuals and families seeking help need to make only one phone call in order to be linked with all of the programs and services for which they are eligible.

Addressing Basic Needs - One Call Goals

Access to essential services is seamless, barrier-free, affordable, and welcoming – One Call Does It All!

2007 Priorities:

  • Focusing on Goal 4: “Access to essential services is seamless, barrier-free, affordable, and welcoming”
  • Continuum approach starting with information referral, information and assistance, and case management.
  • What would a successful “one call does it all” look like? Identification of essential elements such as accuracy, specialized nature of information, and a personal connection between the caller and the person providing the information.
  • Address funding issues to support the accurate, up-to-date, personal, and specialized database of information

2007 Accomplishments

The One Call Committee had a specific strategic focus for 2007: access to essential services that would be seamless, barrier-free, affordable, and welcoming. During the course of the year, the Committee researched Information & Assistance (I & A) service delivery models in order to develop a state-of-the-art system that would serve the needs of older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers in Boulder County. By the end of the year the One Call Committee had completed its mission and developed a Framework of Success that defined future work. Some strategic points in the Framework included: creating and maintaining a Centralized Information Line and Network; a Continuum of Information and Assistance Referral Services staffed with skilled and trained professionals; and a Clearinghouse of Information easily accessible to all Boulder County residents. The I & A Consortium of Boulder County was created, with Boulder County Aging Services Division serving as the Lead Agency. The Consortium is dedicated to providing a coordinated and accessible countywide Information, Referral, and Assistance system.
